The Seaskin Tech base system has been developed to mix and match combinations to suit your needs on the day. Long sleeved tops and legs can be worn on their own under neoprene drysuits for warmer waters. They are ideal as underwear under any Thinsulate undersuit as cotton holds perspiration and moisture next to the skin where it can feel clammy, cold and uncomfortable. Using ultra fast wicking fabric means that the skin is kept dry and the wearer is much more comfortable during and after the dive, and is able to get the most out for the performance of their undersuit. Wear underneath your everyday clothes prior to travelling to the dive, and then there is no need to get changed completely, thus helping you to stay even warmer beforehand. The close fit stretch design allows the system to be layered for even greater thermal benefit with little loss of flexibility
Features Quick dry fabric High wicking finish Flat lock seams for extra comfort Close fit design Easy Care
The secret of a more comfortable dive is in the moisture management of perspiration. Ultra fast wicking fabrics such as that used in the Seaskin Tech base system do not stop you sweating but transmit the moisture away leaving your "feeling" warmer and comfortable. It does sound like marketing speak but it does actually work.

Silicon seals have some important advantages over traditional latex seals. They are extremely flexible so easier to take on and of, increased comfort when wearing, one size fits a wide range of wrists. Great material stability so better against ageing, UV light and chemical degradation. More resistant against puncture. Better for allergies. Less friction (antifriction coat on the inside). There main disadvantage is the problems with gluing them to drysuits, this is overcome by using neck and wrist ring systems, the best of these coming from Sitech. |
